Introducing Gromit and Chewie

Gromit and Chewie are my labradoodles. I share them with my partner K. Gromit is white and Chewie is black with a patch of white on his chest and a tiny patch of white on the very tip of his chin. Chewie loves, loves, loves to retrieve balls. Gromit loves to steal Chewie's ball and run around with it while Chewie chases him. They are not opposites, but they are not the same either.

Gromit, is much like meringue - light, fluffy and easily whipped up. He is always trying to show me how to live life with an eye for hidden treasure that someone or something has left behind. His eyes and nose twinkle and twitch when he senses a hidden toy, left over pizza on the counter, unattended, or Chewie's bone without Chewie's paw to hold it down. He never misses an opportunity to steal a prize.

Chewie, is short for Chewbakkah. Chewie is our good and loyal dog. He is dedicated to returning his chuck it ball back to us. He is strong and muscular like a hunting dog. His ability to turn off his voracious exercise regime and relax and sink into into the bed or couch moved has earned him the title of downward chi dog. His roots go down to the middle of the earth and when he is relaxing he will not be moved.

Both our boys weigh between 85 and 90 pounds each. Gromit is tall and leggy. Chewie is shorter and has a bigger chest.

These are our boys...
